About me
“I believe that writing is a powerful tool for our personal development and healing. Through this, we can express our feelings and thoughts, narrate our personal stories∙ understand who we are and what is important to us. As we read and listen to the words we wrote, new perspectives open up in front of our eyes that help us move on with our lives. In short, paper becomes our mirror.”
MY WORK
As a psychologist
As a psychologist, I combine my expertise in mental health with my deep love for writing, using the transformative power of words to guide people on their life journeys. I believe that through writing and storytelling, we can access our inner world, make sense of our experiences, and discover paths to healing and growth. Whether through therapeutic writing, bibliotherapy, or reflective dialogue, I create a safe and nurturing space for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges and embrace their unique stories.
As an Author
As an author, I draw inspiration from true events, believing that life often transcends all imagination. I am captivated by the aesthetic power of an image brought to life through the articulated word. My narratives delve into the dualities that define human existence—the countervailing forces that coexist within us all. Through my fiction, I explore the delicate boundaries, the fragile balances, and the pivotal moments when a person transitions from one riverbank to the other—or lingers suspended on the cusp of change.
As a columnist and editor
I bring my expertise in writing to my role as a Contributing Editor at The Brussels Review, where I curate thought-provoking content on literature, culture, and social issues. Additionally, as a columnist for the Greek literary website The Reader (O Anagnostis) and Huffington Post Greece, I explores topics related to literature, storytelling and social issues. My articles blend scientific insight with creative expression, offering readers unique perspectives and fostering meaningful conversations. Through my work with these platforms, I continue to champion the power of words to inspire, inform, and connect.

During my studies, I followed the clinical psychology direction and I did my practice at the General Hospital of Karditsa (Greece) and a deinstitutionalization guest house (Psychargos program).
During my training in therapeutic writing, I had the privilege of learning from Kathleen Adams, a pioneer in the field and a renowned American psychotherapist. Over the years, I was also fortunate to have Kate Thompson, a leading existential journal therapist, as my mentor and supervisor, whose guidance profoundly shaped my approach. Building on this foundation, I now teach and organize therapeutic writing training programs and seminars tailored for mental health professionals, equipping them with the tools to incorporate writing into their practices.
In addition to training others, I also supervise expressive writing groups, fostering safe spaces where individuals can explore their inner worlds and discover the healing power of the written word.

My research interests center on the transformative effects of writing and reading, focusing on their ability to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.
For several years I was facilitating workshops and seminars for The Reader Berlin, and Write CY in Cyprus, and I collaborate with various universities and educational institutes in Greece and Cyprus.
Among my professional distinctions was the invitation to speak at the European Parliament (Strasburg, European Youth Event, 9-11 May 2014) in order to inspire young entrepreneurs to begin their own online business.
Currently, I’m a PhD candidate at the University of Ghent, where my research explores the transformative potential of writing in the context of mourning. The working title is "From Catharsis to Metousiosis: Transforming the Narrative of Loss into Literature", and through this research, I aim to deepen the understanding of how narrative, writing and self-expression intertwine in moments of emotional transition.
